Factory Direct New Jersey is the sister company of Factory Direct Montreal. While bringing its CRM to parity with Montreal, Megawebvision found that website chat conversations were reaching the CRM as contacts but never becoming opportunities. Seventeen previously missed chat contacts were converted into New Lead opportunities in one pass, and a chat-capture workflow with duplicate-safe tests was published so every future conversation lands in the pipeline.

Situation
A window and door lead often starts as a chat: a homeowner asks a quick question about a product or a price. If that conversation does not become a record someone owns, it is gone by the next morning. Factory Direct New Jersey's chat was creating contacts but nobody was being asked to follow up, because no opportunity existed to follow up on.
The constraint
A handoff constraint at the very first step: demand was arriving and being lost between the chat widget and the pipeline. No amount of additional advertising would have fixed it.
What was done
The fix was small, tested and permanent.
- Seventeen previously missed website-chat contacts identified and turned into New Lead opportunities so the team could work them.
- A chat-capture workflow published in the CRM, with duplicate-safe tests, so each new conversation creates exactly one opportunity.
- CRM views brought to parity with Montreal: financials with deposit and discount fields, notes, project status and products, served from a dedicated New Jersey application released on September 9, 2026.
Readout
Seventeen leads that had already been paid for went back into the pipeline on September 12, 2026. The workflow that caused the leak now closes it automatically. The CRM ledger stands at 620 contacts with 2,071 historical rows preserved across seven object types.
This is a small number and it is published on purpose. Most revenue leaks look like this: not a strategy failure, but one handoff nobody owned.
